Rebelry

An act, a disposition, or a planned or unplanned response, however it manifests — as individual refusal or collective insurrection — rebelry names an unmistakably political response. Oxford English Dictionary has one short definition for it: “behavior characteristic of a rebel,” that is, which it defines as “a person or thing that resists authority or control.” Under the current conditions, it remains the most appropriate response to global capital and its symbolic and institutional mechanisms of reproduction.
