Impossible

"And there is something that really fascinates me, which is this idea that what you really want to work on is never accessible. I mean, like your fire, what makes you delve into the complexity of an investigation or the attempt to create a piece, is never touchable. If you illuminate the shadow, you kill the shadow. So we are trapped, but beautifully trapped, in working on materialities that are not really what we are working on. It is as if our work really has to do with attention and with those projections of what cannot be seen, but we are trapped by what can be seen. And that is a good problem."
